The past two days brought Alta’s first taste of winter.  With only 8-10 inches falling the skiing was hardly skiing but it still felt good to break out the boards again.  Coverage was obviously very boney but if you stuck to the grassy areas you could keep your base shots to a minimum.    The only safe areas we found were down the soon-to-be groomers coming off of Wildcat.  As long as you skied light on your feet you really didn’t hit much.  Tomorrow still looks to be somewhat cold so if you’re looking to hurt yourself or your skis get out there early before it all melts away.
