Today was a bit of a sleeper pow day.  We weren’t anticipating much snow. But it snowed about 5 inches which was just enough to mostly cover up the icy moguls. Mostly cover up, as I did blast one mogul on Backside which ripped off my ski immediately. There were no lift lines and Alta had the feel of emptiness.

We started with a Baldy Shoulder lap. At the Tombstone cutoff the sidestep had to be put in still which was quite the anomaly as ski patrol normally would have already done that. In a similar vein the Backside herringbone needed put in as well. With the visibility not great and the new snow it was surprising that either Backside or the Shoulder were open.

We ended the day on Keyhole. It was awesome and so was Sunspot.
