With over two feet of pow forecasted to blanket the Wasatch yesterday, a storm total of 7″ was disappointing. Normally for this season 7″ would be considered an epic day but with so much anticipation leading up to the storm it was hard to get too excited over the weak tease of a dump. Regardless of the lack of snow and thick holiday crowds the skiing was still good. We found soft turns pretty much everywhere yesterday but today Alta’s inbounds terrain was getting beat up. We found a much more manageable holiday crowd and smoother turns in Rocky Point. The forecast looks pretty good for the next few days with 8-13 predicted to fall by Thursday night. Let’s hope forecasters are right this time!
