NateYesterday’s Freeride Competition at Snowbird was not one to miss. Despite the hardpack conditions athletes were hucking their meat and blasting turns top to bottom. All of the top three men’s spots belonged to Alta and Snowbird locals. First place going to Grant Howard, second place to Lars Chickering Ayers, and third place to Andrew Pollard. All three runs were super fluid with everything from 40 footers to 360’s thrown in all the way to the bottom.
The womens’s top spots belonged to Ashley Bembenek, Kele Thorsen, and Alaina Huestis. The ladies put on quite the show as well throwing down super tight lines at high speeds with multiple airs. The next stop on the Subaru Freeride Series takes us to Telluride, CO on March 4-8. It will be broadcast live here. Don’t miss it!
