Alta reported a storm total of 13″ and the new snow has done a great job of providing us with a base for opening day.  Skiers and snowboarders were out in masses today and most lines were skied including Main Chute and High Boy.  The base obviously isn’t there yet if you’re hoping to get away without a base-shot or two but getting back on snow has been well worth the ski abuse.

The lake effect that fell last night must have come with some winds as some slopes were a little wind affected causing the snow to feel much denser than yesterday.  The forecast doesn’t look amazing by any means but there is another storm in the works for next Monday.  Keep doing your snow dance!
