Alta Skiing 75th AnniversaryCome celebrate Alta’s 75th Anniversary this Tuesday (1/15). Starting at 6pm there will be a torchlight parade (unfortunately there is no public participation), fireworks and a bonfire. Also joining in on the celebration is Skiing Magazine who will be celebrating their 65th anniversary. On Monday (1/14) Skiing Magazine and Alta will be hosting another great party at the Goldminer’s Daughter Saloon from 4-7pm. Beers will cost $3 and the pizza will be free! So come help Alta ring in another 75 years of epicness this week. It will surely be a fun time!

We invite you to enjoy the celebration of our initial opening day, which was January 15, 1939. At 6pm on Tuesday, January 15, please join us for a viewing of our torchlight parade on Alf’s High Rustler, complemented with a fireworks display. This is a special exhibition parade. We will not be inviting you to participate, as we do on the New Year’s Eve parades. This event is designed for your viewing pleasure.

There will also be a bon fire at the base of the Collins lift. You are invited to watch the festivities from here.

You are also invited to a celebration at the Goldminer’s Daughter Saloon on Monday, January 14th, from 4-7pm. At the Skiing Magazine / Alta Ski Area Anniversary party, beers will cost $3 and the pizza will be free. Come help us celebrate two anniversaries; our 75th and Skiing’s 65th.

Lastly, we encourage you to make a donation to the Utah Food Bank.
