25″ of snow was the total to this weekend’s storm.  By Sunday morning the skies had cleared and the hopes were some new terrain would open.  Bombs were going off left and right and by shortly after noon the Ballroom gate opened.

The sidestep to the Shoulder did start low so it was long and sugary but manageable.  The snow up on Baldy Shoulder was downright velvety.  Smooth soft and gripped the snow truly was amazing and we didn’t hit any rocks.  Alta Ski Patrol was also working on the Tower 10 Traverse so look for that to open Monday!  More snow in the forecast for later this week so get those quads pumping!
