Arc'Teryx Sabre SV Jacket

Softshell or Hardshell? These days, that’s a tough decision to make when it comes to choosing a ski jacket. With the new Arcteryx Sabre Jacket, Arc’teryx is walking a fine line between these two options. Although it’s made from stretchy Gore-Tex Softshell material, the Sabre SV has the DNA of a technical hardshell and is guaranteed waterproof and breathable. With just a hint of fleece insulation, the jacket is warm yet light, weighing in at only 24.5 ounces. The cut is very generous, allowing for ample layering underneath if the weather turns foul. The only complaint would be the lack of pockets, which seems to be the norm from Arcteryx; there are just 2 front hand pockets and an internal chest pocket. Pockets aside, this is a great offering that features Arcteryx’s attention to detail and finish. Throw on the Sabre SV jacket, cinch up the powder skirt and get yourself some Alta powder.
