Alta only received 2″ of thick Sierra cement yesterday but after some previous wind buffing days the fresh snow actually went a long way.  Skiing off of the Jitterbug bootpack provided some great low angle pow turns in Greely but with nothing else opened it was hard to consider hiking it again.  Luckily Baldy shoulder was skiing great with much less of a hike to find the goods.  Even Bad News was skiable if you picked your line wisely.

West Rustler was also smooth and fast but a little chundary down low if you were carrying much speed.  Forecast looks bleak for the next week with possibly a storm arriving on our doorstep sometime around the 12th of December.  Let’s hope winter ramps up soon!

  1. Alta’s been looking less than film worthy lately. Hopefully tomorrow’s storm ushers in some more excitement to film.
